California State University, Chico Chooses SpurCG as it Positions Itself to Meet New Demands in Unprecedented Times
Regional and Continuing Education at CSU Chico has chosen SpurCG as a partner as it endeavors to position itself to meet the needs of future students who will be facing new challenges as a result of the COVID19 pandemic.
Clare Van Ness, Interim Dean of Regional and Continuing Education has this to say:
“Regional & Continuing Education is at a pivotal point as Chico State responds to changing enrollment trends and looks beyond our traditional student profile to serving more post-traditional learners in creative ways. SpurCG is our partner in evaluating our organizational effectiveness and creating a renewed energy around our role in creating a university-prepared workforce. SpurCG’s consultants bring us just the right combination of vision and implementation strategies that will help us define our strategy and move us forward in our mission to transform lives through continuing higher education.”
SpurCG’s work will include an assessment of the organization and its processes, as well as participation in developing a strategic plan for the unit. SpurCG co-founder, Guy Felder says, “meeting the needs of non-traditional learners is going to be key to recovering from the economic toll of COVID19. Regional and Continuing Education is setting an example for other PCE units to follow as they begin preparing now. We are excited to partner with them in this crucial work.”
Founded in 2019, Spur Consulting Group (SpurCG) is an educational consulting group launched by a couple of results-obsessed education geeks who love to win, hate to disappoint, and care beyond measure. Our professional histories are quite varied, with dozens of years of experience in running programming, marketing and operations, all the way up to dean- and director-level positions at some of the country’s leading education institutions. These collective experiences are at the heart of what defines us a group: we understand the challenges our clients face because, at one time, we faced them, too.
