James Madison University Selects SpurCG for Marketing Optimization Project

We’re excited to welcome James Madison University to the SpurCG family

JMU Outreach & Engagement (O&E) has selected SpurCG to help them develop a process to centralize the execution of marketing plans while program areas retain ownership of the strategic marketing functions. SpurCG co-founder, Guy Felder says, “This project really caught our interest because of the unique approach the O&E group is taking to optimize their efforts. I can tell they put a lot of thought into what would work best for their specific needs.”

JMU is SpurCG’s second client since its founding in January of this year. When asked why SpurCG was chosen JMU’s Assistant Dean for Outreach & Engagement, Carol Fleming had this to say:

JMU Outreach & Engagement (O&E) is excited to embark on a journey with SPUR Consulting Group. O&E has always been a fan of both Guy Felder and Meni Sarris, so when we heard they had come together to start their own firm, we were anxious to see what they had to offer. During our first meeting, we learned of their new business plan and were impressed by how they had taken the client needs into consideration when building their model. Their three-tiered approach to working with institutes of higher education was designed to help institutions make the best decision for their unit on many levels related to project, pricing, and timeline.

After the introductory meeting, it was clear to O&E that working with SpurCG was exactly what we needed to help us develop a marking plan for our unit. Within no time, we had a clear and well thought out proposal from Guy that fit our needs, and I’m happy to say that work has already begun on a strategic marking plan.

Regardless of what you are hoping to accomplish (a marketing plan, help with a CRM, or programming for your unit), I highly recommend SPUR Consulting Group.

As we say on our website SpurCG is new, but our team isn’t. We are excited that JMU was able to take advantage of SpurCG’s flexible engagement options to start this work quickly. We can’t wait for the case-study on this one.
